Backlight delay - set to 30 secs but goes dark after 10?

I'm still trying to delay the backlight going off and default screensaver cutting in (the one that just has a bar with the time and a couple of other icons on it such as silent indication).

I went into Themes -> Power Saver and extended the backlight time out to 30 seconds but it made no difference. I also tried changing the animation time out to 30 minutes...

Equally as frustrating is using the app Nav4All (not sure if anyone else uses it? Free Navigation app - Nav4All - Free gps navigation for your mobile phone!) the screen just goes dark within seconds of loading it and I have to slide in the keypad and slide it out again to get the backlight back on. In the app I set it so that the backlight was always on but that has no effect, it still goes dark...

The Power Saver and Light Time Out can also be changed via...

Settings -> General -> Personalisation -> Display

This seems to trump whatever settings you have in your Theme, so have a look there.

Similar Question : Can Power Saver not be turned off, it plays havoc with my bluetooth headphones, I set the time to the max 30 minutes and ir delays the issue but still starts cutting out my audio when screen saver starts. Anyone?

Spot on, cheers :o)
I found that out today and changed it and was going to post on here the same!

I agree with being able to switch it off completely, would be a benefit...

Also, the light sensor is that for the backlight or the keypad illumination or what?

backlight afaik, not keypad lights

You must not be able to disable the Power Saver
