Keypad problem - urgent help pls!!

Hi Guys

I am experiencing a very strange/weird problem. The down key and right key on the D-pad and the menu key are not responding. Nothing happens when I use those keys. THEY JUST WONT WORK!!!

This issue started over last weekend and a reboot would usually fix it, either soft or hard. But now even the reboot is not fixing the problem. Is this likely to be firmware issue or hardware issue? Will a firmware upgrade resolve it? I am really concerned and frustration and would like to resolve this ASAP. So, please help me out here.

By the way, I am currently running firmware V31.

No...all at the same time :(

hmm, is it still under warranty over there?

Nope...warranty period ended April '09. I tried upgrading firmware and problem is still at large.

I am having the same problem. The down and right key on the D-pad and the left menu key don't work.

Usually i can fix it by pressing the down D-pad key repeatedly for a few mins but now even that won't work.

Hi Guys

I got my phone fixed under warranty. Seems fine now. I didn't even know it was still under warranty... LOL.
This is what they did to fix the issue:
-> N95 Slide unit assy (incl flex, UI BD)
-> Mechanical repair
-> Replaced parts as listed, cleaned, realigned all contacts
-> Upgraded and reformatted software

In the end, it reads "your Nokia telephone has been returned to manufactures specifications.

I hope this helps. I will monitor the performance over the next couple of days and give an update.
