n95 8gb enhancement popup

my mrs's n95 8gb has just started playing up, every time she gets a call, text or goes to view a photo the enhancement pop up opens asking her to chose the headphones etc,although she doesn't use the headphones!! looked in settings and all set same as mine ,i've cleaned the earphone socket of all the fuzz and muck stuck headphones in and pop up works ok disconnect then once again if she gets a text it opens the enhancement menu. help both the phone and my mrs doing my head please any ideas

First try restoring the phone back to factory settings, you will not loose any info by starting with this.

i had this on the first iphone. when answering a call you couldnt hear using the earpiece as the phone thought it was using headphones.
try cleaning it again. take a cotton ear bud. remove most of the cotton so that it can fit in the hole, and push the bud into it and clean it out like its a pipe cleaner.
