N95 v31 text bug?

Hi ive got a nokia n95 and recentley updated to the 31.0.017 firmware and there one little problem doing my head in . When i recieve a text and click reply it takes about 4 seconds to actually load and let me write.

if you want i can upload a video to youtube so you can see what i mean but very annoying as it was fine before the update

any ideas

p.s ive tryed reinstalling software but still the same problem.

Hi Bean. Welcome to the forum.

I only updated last Wednesday to v31 myself and apart from a few other little niggles, lost apps, and sluggish start up.

My messaging was playing up as yours is. One route I took was to go into messaging and clear out the Inbox, about 30 messages,

Trimmed down messages in My Folders I have 10 folders, You'd be surprised what gets left in there over time, that are of no use.

Deleted all, more than a week old in Sent messages, about another 40 or so, and finally tidied up Drafts folder.

Didn't see too much improvement initially but over a few days everything was back to normal.

You seem to have tried everything else so give this a try, If your messaging boxes were empty to start with. The only other thing I can think of is that you have something hogging your memory.

To find out just press and hold the left hand soft key,the big one to the left of the D pad, and it should show you what has/is loaded on the phone. Just close anything that you are not immediately using.

Hope this is of some help. If not, don't panic, others will come in here with more advice, because you have come into the finest Forum, Nokia wise, on the webb.

Hi,
thanks for reply but ive sorted it now. I've got 2 memory cards 1gb and an 8gb card some how i got the cards mixed up and was using the 1gb card which i use for my pc to transfer files etc. It had zip files on etc and think it must of had trouble trying to read them and that was why it was playing up .....
