Screen trouble

Hey. I've had my N95 for some months now, and I was very pleased with it until the screen turned loonie on me. It somehow turns backwards and mirror wise, and divide itself up to 3 parts witch all turn different ways. In addition to this it also turns blueish and jumps back and fort from being normal and freaky. Anyone experienced the same problem?

It sounds as though the ribbon-cable from the screen to the connector has shifted, has the phone been dropped?

Anyway, if that is the case, it's a simple job for a Service Centre to sort...

Or... If you fancy a spot of DIY, Spyda made an excellent walk-thru of the steps involved here. Pay attention to the way of releasing the cable-clamp though, damage that and you'll need to replace the whole board... Not cheap!

Huff

Yeah I´ve dropped it. It´s lick carrying eggs home to mom when your 8, it won´t stay in my hand.

Think I leave the job to the service department, but it´s 2 week waiting to get it fixed.

Yeh like spook said it sounds like a simple loose connector problem.

I would personally do it myself, just get the correct screwdriver and undo four easily accessible screws and reconnect the LCD connector. Its literally a 5 minute job with the right tool.

If you use a dodgy tool (such as a flathead screwdriver or a damaged torque screwdriver / allen key) that is going to damage the screws, then your warranty may be void if the phone fails again.
