Question SIP Client on N95

Hi Guys, i have SIP client on N95 up and running and registered to the voip provider perfectly, The SIP client i am using is the Nokia's own developed and implemented on N95. I can make and recieve calls too, but my calls keep dropping for some reason, it drops on both incoming and outgoing call via the SIP client only. GSM calls work perfect, its just the SIP calls. They drop intermittently, anytime after 10secs or 60 secs or 120 secs, but they surely do drop and won't last any more than 120secs in best times, worse avg has been a drop after 10 secs usually.
Any ideas anyone why is it happening or any setting that i can change?

Thanks guys.

Is it the latest firmware? Also check the "power saving" on Advanced Options of the Wireless connection, try disabling it and see if its still drops the connection.

Are you connecting via wifi or 3G? If you're using wifi then you should turn off the power save so you don't lose your router connection

EDIT: Sorry-didn't see that last post recommending the same

Question Queries.....

First of all, thanks a lot guys for the help.
Few quick things :

1. How do i find out what firmware in have on my N95?

2. If it is not the latest firmware then how do i install the new one?

3. What are the updates in the new firmware as suppose to old one?

I am using Wi-Fi, and i have power saving enabled, but then disabling it won't eat the battery life? or will it?

What is the point of power saving feature in Wireless connetion, when it can be done from display settings under profile too?

Last question, is there anyway, i can delete my 3 day trial license of Nokia maps and then retry it again, so that i can get that 3 day license free again, as i don't think that there is anywhere we can find free license for nokia maps or any GPS maps.

Sorry for bugging you guys with so many questions and thanks a lot again.

Last question... I doubt it, unless you change your IMEI... I don't think that Nokia are THAT dumb! ;)

I tried installing a SIP client (VOIPCheap) but my router(s) didn't like it... I ended up using Truphone, which works flawlessly and is simplicity itself to install and get up and running. Sorry but that's all that I can suggest you try...

Their customer service is very responsive and helpful too, incidentally! :)

What VOIP service are you using? Sounds to me like the router is booting you for some reason-you say you've tried sip calls from different wifi connections?

Hi fldude, i tried Fring and it works perfect with no call drops, but on this one, its one of the locals keeps dropping it after 120 secs or so.
Any other ideas? As i won't consider router as my problem, because i have an ATA, IP phone and laptop that works perfect and after all, Fring worked perfect too.
