Poor AVI quality sound?
I'm having issues listening to some of my TV shows on my N95.
It's in AVI format.
I tried listening to it using Core Player and SmartMovie, I get the same problem. But on my PC, all is playing perfectly.
The problem is that after a while, the sound becomes un synched. So the sound/voice is either late or early on the image.
Sometimes, I also hear plain static.
The only way to fix it is to hit the rewind key. then after 40 seconds or so, it does it again.
Anyone experienced this before? Do I have to convert my AVI before uploading to my N95?

Is it a particularly large video? You may want to try resizing it to a smaller resolution if possible

It's an AVI of about 600MB.
I don't know if you consider this big
Any clue on how I should resize?

that's huge. but no problems on mine. perhaps its the memory card access that's slowing things down. which memory card are you using?
sandisk microsdhc cards have faster read access time

Bro try converting the vidoes priot to playback using virtualdub and using xvid or mpeg4 codec. Hope you'll get the high quality vids for mobile playback & small size too.

CorePlayer is more powerful than the N95 can withstand sometimes. Just because CorePlayer will let you play a file does not meanthe N95 has enough hardware to deal with all the data.
It sounds as if this is the issue.
I can play many of the TV shows I have collected but I seem to have problems quite frequently playing movies.
