I have just realised that my phone is not sending my caller ID! I know it did when I got it. I have no idea when it stopped but a mate of mine said it has not shown up on his phone for dome time when I ring him.
I am wondering if the firmware upgrade has something to do with it? I have changed the settings and tried both Network and Send caller ID. I have also rebooted the phone. Someone else suggested it may be my network - I am on Vodafone Ireland. Anyone any ideas? |

Yes, the next step would be for you to contact you network provider - They will be able to verify your current status and correct it if neccessary

does ur caller ID doesnt appear only on ur mate's phone?have u tried calling other ppl and checked if ur caller ID appears or not?
if it only on ur mate's phone, ur mate probably has ur no. saved under 2 names (maybe one saved in ur name,and one saved "unnamed" |

I only spotted it because of his phone but since then I have asked others and tried it on my home phone and all come up as Private Number!
Vodafone told me to select YES in Send Caller ID! - What a lot of use they are! |

Well I called into Vodafone ages ago and told them my story. The only thing they could suggest was to upgrade the firmware as my setting were correct at the time to send the ID. I decided I would do the upgrade myself as they were rather busy, I was in a hurry and the individual who was going to do the upgrade did not fill me with confidence.
Move on to today when I finally got around to upgrading to V21.0.016. After doing all the backup and restoring and now having to reinstall apps etc. I find that my phone still refuses to send the Caller ID ![]() I am not a happy camper ![]() Has anyone else experienced this? It worked fine till I upgraded to version 20 the last time. |

Hi Pete, hows tricks?
The only thing I can think its related to is the Vodafone Ireland network. What about trying your sim in another Nokia handset, and see if it sends your Caller ID then.? If it don't, then its an Operator specific issue.

I did try the sim in another phone and it did send the ID. I think it's the phone. |

Was the other phone as new as your N95? How old is your SIM?
