BBC iPlayer in the US?

Does the BBC iPlayer work if you are in the US, or any other country for that matter?

I know I could try it with a proxy, but if any willing members could try it and confirm, it would be good.

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

It is not supposed to work outside the UK, though it bases location on IP address so it isn't 100% reliable.

I pay my licence and I am here in Holland, and I can't access it. But my slingplayer works a treat.

Yeah, this was my point exactly. "Due to the unique way the BBC is funded" etc...

Just wondered because I can't watch Lost off ABC.com from a UK IP Address.

You do realise that out of the license fee you pay, all of the BBC services around the world are funded too? Like BBC America and the world service etc etc

I don't even own a TV or a TV card in my pc so I don't pay the license fee as I am not in possesion of television recieving equipment, but now I can watch most of the major TV channels online streamed direct to my pc :) and am in no way liable for a tv license lol BONUS :D

I will NEVER pay the license fee again lol

Cheers man. You've illustrated my point exactly, but you're not making me feel any better.
