I have the e61 (not 'i') for a 2nd phone, and I like it for the large screen and internet. It does look big mind you, but word processing is on it.

HOWEVER its easy to use, but if she's always got LONG nails, it will take her forever to type a quick document.

Edit it was £26, brand new in box off eBay! And I've seen them go cheaper. Maybe its worth a try at least!

Thx for all the replies...

After looking at some of these phones in detail, I think it has come down to the E90 (most likely), E61i, or possibly a blackberry (cheapest, easiest to set up through ATT). Some of the HTCs look intruiging, but I really don't like the interface and I am not a fan of WinMo. Plus I have no experience with them and the screen on the Tilt looks like it could snap off at any moment lol. After having my N95 for a few months, I really love the new Symbian OS and I think it is a lot more intuitive for a Mac user/mother haha. I think she'll love her new phone. Thanks again!

I was going to get an E90 but most operators delayed them for a long time due to problems with the microphones at the time :(

new version of e90 is out, right? it had something to do with the screen and the keypad that were pressing together when closed.

he already decided so just buy it. it'll be bigger though. my dad had a n95 but wanted a touchscreen so he now has a W960i... it's better than getting an iphone...at least it's still symbian :) is your dad techy? my dad only used the n95 for text and calls - what a waste :)

yeah, same here. he only make text messages and calls. but he said that he wants a phone that also looks professional. and he sometimes makes messages while he's driving, so touchscreen phones are out of the way. it says here that there is a second version of the E90, but im not sure whether its made for the world wide market or just for certain regions. can anyone verify this?
