N96 May Release date?
just read this on another site......N96 confirmed release date is May 7th 2008
anyone else hard this? is it just a vicious rumour? Confirmed, Nokia N96 Release Date! - nokia-n96.info

I posted that at Symbian World, and I assure you that this is the final media date, which means that after that, the N96 can be at shops anytime, it all depends on networks, and local approvals.
I will be at the event, so if you have any questions regarding these three phones, please do let me know and I'll try find out for you, from the present Nokia officials at the event.

Is this using the same BL-5F battery from the original N95??
If so will the battery life be as poor and does the N96 have more or less RAM than the N95-8GB

Same battery, but better power management in S60 Feature Pack 2, so run time should be improved......

I played with both the N78 and the N96 today at Nokia Academy and the N78 will be available in May,i wasn't told about the N96 though.....it was still a bit slow and buggy to be honest.

May, ooh i doubt it, if it is gonna be may then surely the nokia flagship store would've known, well the one here in London. Even they say they aren't sure when, and added that they would guess probs by late august to early september, and logically i reckon it might be.
And none of the phone retailers such as carphone warehouse had previewed the n96, only the n78 which is said to be out around june...they will both sell like hot cakes though!

N96, meh, I don't care at all... I guess the good news and that perhaps Nokia can start working in earnest on a proper flagship N-Series...
