It's actually not bad. I'm told that the N78 has a music playback time of 24 hours, up 14-15 hours from the N73, and with the FM transmitter- you're looking at about 19 hours of playback time. This should be more than sufficient, especially assuming that if you're transmitting to your car stereo most likely you have a power outlet available to you.

It seems that FP2 has some wicked power management enhancements- this is one reason the N96 product team has seen fit to include only a 950mAh battery in that unit- even though the N95-1's 950mAh battery was an absolute failure on the part of that team, IMHO. The N78 has a 1200mAh battery, and with the more efficient use of power in that device from previous music products- it should be just brilliant on that front. :)

Like some have said, there can be static- it's not a great system. There are several far better ways to get your music out of the N78 onto a stereo, but I think this is a **** good feature. I'd love to see it on more products for sure! Though, I have not heard of any others from the Nokia line with this feature yet. Despite the shortcomings of an FM transmitter, I think it's a wicked cool feature. Maybe something that would be nice to find in this rumored XpressMedia 5800...?

After more than a year of owning the N95, there's finally a new feature i can look forward to on my next mobile device. Doesnt seem soon though.
