Mobile Barcodes on Gravestones

Just been reading this article over on iGadget..

People have been trying very hard to find new ways of using Mobile Barcodes (Datamatrix or QR Codes), to get the technology more mainstream. I posted recently about how the Petshop Boys used Mobile barcodes in their music video for Intergral.

Now its seems that a particular Japanese gravestone maker is embedding the QR Codes within gravestones, so that people are able to find out more about the person buried there.

A quick scan of the barcode with a Mobile Barcode-enabled mobile phone takes the user to a mobile page containing images, video and information about the deceased.

Maybe this is the future of many applications, even artists may well use barcodes to some extent.

Barcodes on babies so you can tag them if they get lost and find out who they belong to?

Thats a good idea.In future every gravestone will have a PC showing videos ,pics,info etc.
