Post Feature Pack 2 video Demo on the N78

Loving the look of this. Wonder if FP2 will ever be available for the N95?

Menu View in Feature Pack 2 Symbian World

Very similar to Vista navigation.

I did play with the N78 a while back and there are some nice touches to the new feature pack but i doubt if it would be available for the N95.

I didnt see much to be excited about really.

I can already see that some of the menus are nicer looking, but less functional. I know that using the boring traditional method, I could get to something faster.

FP2 is a bit more simplified for the average user, i dont know if its for the better though.

And theres pretty much no chance of us N95ers getting it unfortunately

I think it is better but it's not leaps and bounds better so to speak, just some nice little touches to the interface and what not.

I don't know about that, I mean the N95 8GB is one of the flagship models and might well be in the next firmware update if we are lucky.

Not sure about the normal N95 which is a bit old hat with all the new Nseries phones coming out from Nokia.

my 2 cents

Why do i have this little nudging feeling inside me that Nokia will give us FP2...

...i mean, come to think of it, they've gave us Device Paging (which was suppose to be impossible),
they've gave us flash lite 3 (which was suppose to be only incorperated to future devices), and they've gave us longer battery life (which some claim could only be done with a bigger battery).

So will they give us a good surprise again? i think so.

I don't know what they will do. The main thing you have to think about on the upgrade to a new service pack [SP] is that some application may stop working. Also is there really that much that we don't already have?

For instance the "new" vertical menu bar, if you are on Orange you will find that this is the primary setup for your N95. Also the "horse shoe" and "V Shape" views are more-a-less the same just from different angles, and do we not already have a feature like this in our media menu, which by the way everyone hated.

So why is it that such a large community tells Nokia that it hates something, then Nokia turn round and basicaly tell us to "take a running jump" and include it in their new SP and because of the way we are conditioned we believe that it is something better. I would say that I am happier without SP2 on my N95 and I wouldn't change to it if is was offered.
