Exclamation AVG No longer free.? AVG Free users look in.

Anyone else had this warning?

You would think by reading that, you have to pay now, but having looked into this myself, I have found there is a free AVG 8.0 version on their site..

AVG Free - Download installation files & documentation

Download from Download.com may be a little slow, so try their mirror site.

Don't panic... all it means is they're discontuing support of AVG 7.5, AVG 8.0 will still be available for free...

AVG Free - Download antivirus and antispyware software for Windows XP and Vista

edit: AVG Free - Download installation files & documentation

What a conincidence, i just installed it 3 days ago!!

It keeps giving me an "Unhandled Exception Error" and stops the scan! Useless piece of software.

Tbh, Mcaffee blows in many, many ways. Im sure some people find it ok, but theres no way Id recommend it either workwise or friendwise after may of the problems I encountered with it.

If its personal, I recommend Avast. If its work, or important, NOD32.

And if you buy norton, you deserve sharp, pointy sticks inserted into your eyes covered in TCP.
