Next time there's a mass iPhone launch party I'm going to stand out the front of the store with a group of other non iPhone users just to take up space

I just think it's funny that they launched a half ready device, which everyone paid up for, then a short while later, they released the proper version, with more features and slightly better looking and everyone fell for it again!

Imagine if Nokia did th.... Oh, wait. D'oh!

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

Well are the iphone 3g a proper device?? I be confused when it look more like it still are
a half ready device, without good camera ,mms , fileshare, mutietasking and about the
google gps i have no clue how Apple have succeed to sale it as a proper GPS?
like u say spOOk TomTom have not give some turn to turn apps to iphone "today",
and when see intomobiles news , it be even moore confusing ?

Apple's Greg Joswiak says iPhone 3G getting turn-by-turn GPS navigation

read the comments from David Pogue

So-called tech expert David Pogue "seems to believe"
it because he was TOLD THAT by Bob Borchers, Apple's iPhone technical lead!

In a phone call on July 7, he told me, quite emphatically,
that the iPhone will never do decent turn-by-turn navigation,
because the GPS chip is too weak,
and its placement not optimized for reception in a device designed primarily for other functions.

I have asked him and Joz to explain their conflicting reports, and am awaiting a reply.

–Pogue

Strange Do Apple need to return the 1 million fan boys devices and change the GPS chip?

I find it hard to believe it wont be at least as powerful as the nokia GPS chips.

But remember has so much crap already stuffed into it's little casing, including a battery you can't remove - so it's really no surprise the GPS is weak.
