Interesting Launch to the New iphone

BBC News at 6o/c tonight showed the launch in London of the the new iPhone.

1) They ran out of stock
2) They were configuring/ registering them in-store (Allegedly to combat hacking !!!)
3) The guy interviewed outside the store couldn't get it working.

Best 2 mins of TV I've seen in ages.

I think the iPhone is pretty good (in before ****storm).

I mean I have a Phone, PDA, Mp3 Player. Why can't I have all in one?

Problem with AIO solutions however are when it breaks, you loose everything.

no gps
bad battery life
touch screen (pretty for a while, showy and pointless)
2mp camera, ie rubbish camera and little settings to go with it at that
the internet is bloody awful
the battery is not removable
NO video recording
NO voice recording / calling
can't search through contacts

the old version doesnt even have 3g

have all your tunes on your PHONE and not be able to use them as ringtones? ..genius.

NOTHING LIKE the symbian platforms so there's nowhere near the vast amount of third party apps you can enjoy on the n95, NO file browser, NO games, NOT EVEN A LIGHTSABER.

it's used its adveritising campaigns to deliberately mislead people.. and it's only done as well as it has because of that little 'i'..

Doesnt mean I like it though.

To a guy in our bar who's going back to UK on Sunday. Think he will change his mind about getting one. He was all for getting a N95 after I let him loose on my one.

But as you say Calamity They all fall for the Hype.

Think we might have saved the poor soul from being disappointed.

ipod mini, ipod nano 1st gen, ipod video x3 ,ipod touch , ipod nano 3rd gen!

the fanboys ruin it!

i'd have a e70 anyday its a wicked fone! love the design as well because ive owned a nokia 6800 and 6820!

i prefer the ipod touch over the phone!
