Will you be changing your N95 ?

Many of us who got this phone on a free contract, most are not having the issue on to renew a contract with a new phone or stick with the exisiting.

For me, I love to upgrade, even if the upgrade has no advantages to be on the top of the technology front is a geeky must for me.

Many have bought the phone SIM free with their own cash, are you planning to upgrade when an UPGRADED model comes out ? Or will you be upgrading for the sake of being at the top of the game as well ?

My N95 has been the best phone I have ever owned and I have loved everything about the S60 platform, so that's what I will be sticking with.

But what will you be doing ? Upgrading to the N96 ? Or waiting for a real upgrade from the N95 ? Or even just sticking with your N95 until you run it into the ground ?

My profile makes it very clear what I have done and I will be waiting for a real upgrade to come through. The N96 does nothing for me, plus I hate phones with moving parts, hence the N95 being the first exception in over 15 years of mobile phone usage.

i've been wondering that..

i got a 35 quid a month contract, and paid a 100 quid to get my N95 (got it when it first came out ) and am soon due an upgrade, next week infact..

was wondering if they would hold out and sort me a deal on an N96, or if i was gonna get any phone they offered me and just sell it on for the cash..

though an N96 isnt a major upgrade spec wise, it is on the storage front, which means a lot of music in my pocket - that makes it a good argument, especially with the bigger microSDHC cards on the way

Vodafone are pretty good for retentions, current news says Oct 1st is the UK operator release date. Ask if Vodafone can "freeze" your renewal for 2 months. Or if you can delay it for 2 months until a phone comes out you like. Then if they say no, you have the option to cancel the contract. Or to renew but try and get the most expensive phone you can for free. Which inturn you can sell and maybe either buy the N96 outright when it's out. But there are not many phones that you'll sell to match or even come 4/5th of the way to cost of an N96.

I love my n95 8gb, I use it for the N-gage games, music, camera...and of course as a phone, It does everything i want it to do so unless they brought out a definite upgrade that has MORE than i have now, I'll be sticking with what I have.

I'll more than likely get the N96 even though i'll wait a month or so for all the bugs .
Academy should be back around october /november so hopefully i'll get to see a finished product and have a play. I might even manage to get one there

I will be sticking with my trusted N95 for the unforeseeable future, as I just love them, they are everything I need, and also having learned how to repair them now, Im enjoying working with them also, so easy to work on its great.!

Of course, I may buy an N96 when they are out, but not going to rush in feet first. Then theres the new Samsung 8MP phone, which I really like, but who knows.!

unfortunately the new Samsung is still just a Samsung .
I expect to see it fall over within months . not to mention if thier 5MP camera hpones are anything to go by , the 8MP will only just be up to spec of the N95/N82 camera due to the awful lenses they use
