Nokia N97 Cloned

The Chinese have managed to clone the N97 ie Nokia 8 Megapixel phone seen in the patents even before Nokia made it official. It is not even known if Nokia will make it official.

More pictures and info in the link.

i agree whats with that camera , where does it go?? i cant make it out , does it stay like that all the time?? does it swivel round?? does it get hidden when not in use

it looks like it could win some major awards in the ugliest phone of the century

and this chinese phone cloning is getting way out of control !! ive seen n85 clones allready n96 clones allready and other nokia designs that are still prototypes popping up all over the net like ebay and utube

i cant believe people buy them knowing they are clones , its all to do with materialism me thinks , people want to be seen with the best yet cant afford it so its a dam shame but people are allways going to buy them so theres allways going to be a market for them me peronally id rather have a genuine cheaper nokia that can do things it supposed to ,

i feel sorry for the people that buy them thinking they are real but the people that willingly buy them and think they are cool just suck they are very very cheaply made with rubbish features and componenets that will stop working after a year max like all of the cheap chinese equipment like dvd players car stereos etc etc

id love to see nokia bust them big time but it wont happend if disneyland can be copied by the chinese goverment what chance have nokia got

Disneyland in China? | Japan Probe

check out that link it shocked me at 1st but it just shows how bad the chinese are for raking it in through fakes

(edit , looks like something was done about the disneyland thing so lets hope that other companys kick some Copyright butt too and stop these fakes from flooding the market id say half the n95s on fleabay are fake now)

That is one UGLY phone.

There is no way on gods green earth they or anyone would release a phone with such a huge lump sticking out of the top of it.

It looks rubbish, like 2 old phones glued together. I wouldnt pay £30 for it even if it was genuine! lol

It looks more like a phone pimped out with a flashlight. If I recall correctly, the Virgin Mobile K10 also had one. wow

Come on now, it's really not that bad.

OBVIOUSLY the camera on the top is designed to swivel flush with the rest of the body... and the barrel that the camera is housed in gives us the real estate necessary for optical zoom- which I'm interested in. It also provides more room for better optics, perhaps a larger sensor... lots of reason why I'd like to see an imaging flagship like this. I think it's a better design than the N93, which was a cool device- but just too much.

I kind of dig the design and the possibilities it allows. If Nokia is working on a device like this, I'm glad.

i see now , it swivels/swings around at the top to the side so it sits along the top of the phone when not in use , as long as it dosetn stick out really bad and the lens has protection it could be ok maybe its just them few pics that make it look really really ugly i understand what you mean about better optics and optical zoom and i suppose we have to remember that this is a dodgy chinese fake and not a finalised nokia design/build as well
