Hello everyone, long time no post.
I was just curious if anyone had any thoughts/personal experience with the Samsung G400 "Soul". I've been considering getting one as a back-up since the price has dropped recently. Any input greatly appreciated... |

I know this isnt the phone your on about but my mate at work recently got a samsung soul. It looks physically good but the screen is basic. The worst thing is that it doesnt allow bluetooth transfer of games/apps.
This has been the case with all samsungs ive have owned/known about. I guess the phone you mention may be different but best to check! |

Surely you would be better off getting a cheap nokia if its a backup? Then its compatible with PC suite etc, so you can transfer contacts, messages memos etc easily.

if you want a phone that may (in opinion) look alright, but not actually do much, then buy a samsung..
im with bart here, a nokia as a spare/backup would make sense as syncing would be a lot easier if you could use the same app to do it. (ie pc suite )

My sis's boyfirend had that phone and i had a play with it... It is not too bad.... but i must warn you that it's functions are very limited and you'll probably get bored with it after a day or two and really just chuck it away. Plus the apps and games are VERY limited so should your N95 crash for long (god knows it wont) you'll be dead bored and might find yourself wanting to buy another phone....
Stick with bart's suggestion and get a nokia, or perhaps the Samsungi450 if you're looking down the samsung path? It has symbian and it's quite good actually. Dual slider will make you feel right at home too. :D

souls are not bad phones... but their menu interfaces are horrid... however if you just want a phone as a backup and similar to the soul get a g600.... 100 quid now... or if you want to take the nokia route get a decent 3mp phone like n73.. 100 quid and will last ages!! or even k850i thats 149.99 now... depends what you mean by backup?...
