Selling the E66

Was fully intent on keeping the E66 due to much better build quality, and it being a slider.

However....

Was putting things on ebay last night, and so was taking pictures of the items. Was in my room with a reasonably bright light on.

The pictures are dire. I understand a 3.2mp cam not in natural light has problems, but this was silly.

So I used my 6220 classic which I was going to sell, and its worlds apart.

I have decided to sell the E66. For most the camera wouldnt be a problem as it takes good pictures in decent light.

But my phone camera is the only camera I own, so it has to be good. I shall just have to put up with all the shortcomings of the 6220 classic till I can afford an N85.

I'll post some comparision pictures later.

Yes the E66 are one real nice phone in all aspect
and the camera work ok in daylight but in bad light its real bad.

If you compare with your 6220 classic with 5MP there shud be huge diffrent !

Like here in Sweden our mobil site make a big test of 5MP camera phones
with
Nokia 6220 Classic
Samsung 900 soul
Sony Ericsson C902
LG KF750 Secret

And the overall winner by big diffrent was the Nokia 6220 Classic

Final score
LG KF750 Secret 13
Nokia 6220 Classic 20
Samsung U900 Soul 16
Sony Ericsson C902 16

From Supertest: 5-megapixelmobiler - Tunna med 5 megapixel

Thats quite interesting actually, thanks for that.

Im starting to appriciate just how good the 6220C is for pictures.

Its a huge shame the N85 doesnt have xenon. I really think that people have more need for taking pictures in bad light as opposed to needing a light when videoing.

Yes Bart like in this test they say the mainpoint why Nokia 6220 Classic
winns like over the Samsung is because the Xeonflash .
They submit that the flash in the Nokia 6220 Classic is the
best they have test in a camera mobile.

About the E66 it have one greate camera for only basic use "in daylight"
and do the work guite good
Here a example

This pic from The Canon Ixuss 55 5MP camera

and this pic from The E66 smartphone

I cant see so much provment from the digitalcamera.

Here one more shoot from the E66

Here are some more example and you can make the size bigger .
Old house on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I'm like you Bart today I almost always only use my camera phone (N95 8GB)
to take pics. It have replaced my digital cameras..:)
and I hope they will come out more with the Xeon flash as the 6220C and N82.
There are more needs to take pics in bad lights.

Heres an interesting article for you: AAS Feature: Camera Nitty Gritty - part 2

It shows the difference between LED, dual LED, and xenon.

While xenon wins, dual might not be *too* bad.

Well, I suppose the E66 will go up on ebay, but not before I have done 2 reviews, since sygic and Wayfinder are on there, and I really cant be bothered to move them.

Thanks for the link Bart , it was real interesting about the flash,
and I'm look real forward to see his part 3>
More in part 3 of this series, when I'll be examining the megapixel myth.

When I read lot of fotografer experts and they says . Is not matter of MP
and 5MP are far enough.
