MWC '09 Sucess Or Flop for Nokia?

So people as the title says

Did Barcelona do Nokia any favours in getting customers attenion?

Reactions to what was announced?

N86 are you gonna buy one?

New E55 and E75? do they suceed in hitting targets for consumer needs?

so people reactions please?

my personal opinion

Nokia could of done better , but they tried .

N86 was a nice suprise to see that they have finally joined the 8MP race!

E series boring and predictable to see how they were gonna evolve the E71 into a better phone

Nokia suprised me the most with the continuing of the 8xxx series 8208!.. nice phone very basic specs tho!..

OVI was my favourite bit because im a OVI user myself seeing the announcement of the OVI store was nice to hear about!. :)

overall i think Nokia's contribution was satisfactory!..

What do other think?

Did no one notice that this is just a CDMA phone ? Apart from the limited markets where this old technology is still used I don't see why we should spend time on it.

i still feel that nokia will have some great products this year. i would look at the n86 as its got the things i look for in a phone. having said that i would love a high end touch phone with all the bells and whistles.

no i was not happy with what they announced. dont get me wrong after considering the n86 and what they did i like it, a lot. i mean they didnt just add 3 mpx like the other manufacturers they actually worked out how to improve the camera in other ways, i reserve my final judgement on it till i play with one though.

other than that 2 e-series phones and the 8208 REALLY REALLY BORING!

the n97 best be good is all i can say.

and forgive me for saying this(i hope you all understand why) but i hope lots of nokias go wrong this year

overall i think it was disapointing. sure the e series phones look nice but its not what us phone people are looking forward to. But hopefully theyll combine everything in their portfolio now (OLED screen of N86 etc) into the next Nseries flagship.

I think that Nokia could have done better, yes, but I don't see any other manufacturers stealing the show.No surprises whatsoever. So,for me,Nokia didn't disappoint.

For me the Onmia HD is better than the N97 in almost every way except for battery life and the lack of the keyboard. and i also have a feeling the Omnia HD will start shipping first.

The best in my opinion was the OVI store and the N86 other then that
it was poor , the E55, E75 will probely be a hit to the busniess people
and the classic with earlier 6700 to the mass market.

The biggest winner this year I belive be the 5800.

I did wait of the big 5800 succesesor. I also belive they will come out
with more good stuff later this year.
I dont know if it have something to do with the global economy fall ,
but I hope they realease one real highended device like the morphconcept soon?

Like the look of the N86 and will be tempted to buy one when they are released.
I am more than happy with my 5800 so another option will be to hang on and see what happens later on in 2009.
