A future alternative to Xenon flash perhaps?

This pdf file gives comparison figures between Xenon flash, powered by standard electrolytic capacitors and a new 'flat-pack supercapacitor' powering high-current LED's.

I wonder when this flat pack cap technology will be in production? It would certainly see more Xenon being used in phones for sure.

Interesting , it look like the new 'flat-pack supercapacitor' powering high-current LED's
be a much better alternative then Xenon .

Interesting stuff.

I would really like to hear the rationale behind omitting Xenon flashes from Flagship devices when Xenon technology is clearly available (N82) and far superior to presently available LED alternatives.

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

From what I understand the main reason is that Xenon cannot provide lighting for video recording, i.e. it can only produce flashes not continous light.

You know, I could live with that given the number of stills I take to videos. But that's me personally.
That said, millions of iPhone users accept a the lack of a flash, oh and video for that matter... Bwhaaaahaaa!!!!

Interesting data on the improvement with 2 LED flashes on that PDF mind. Thanks again Sp00k.
