I am extremely skeptical. That certainly didn't look like a new rugged phone, they generally have a rubberised outer, since it's impossible to make it ok for sharp shocks (i.e. drops). Metal dents, and plastic cracks.

In fact it looked a lot like a 5xxx model recently announced.

And a hard plasic case surviving a golf club hit? Hmmm. Doubtful.

If that's what the new rugged phone looks like, I'd be very suprised. I call spoof tbh.

I wouldn't put it past them to make a bit of a spoof vid though (hence why I said spoof, not fake :P ).

I always like rugged phones though. I assume this will make an appearance in September.

Well the N97 Geeks did put it through some fairly harsh tests themselves!

Viral Videos?

EDIT: The kicker seems to be wearing trainers... drop-kicking a phone whilst wearing trainers is probably not a good idea, it could be rather painful!

In addition to which, I'd have thought that exposing it to that downpour would be enough in itself to BER any Nokia phone, especially as using the phone in a steamed-up bathroom can do it, by all accounts!
