Data calls

Hello everybody. Im new in this forum, so I hope that I´m on the right theme.

I work for a company that installs surveillance systems. Our comunication protocol from the surveillance units to the final customer is using the GPRS/GSM/EDGE networks. The software we developed is using the symbian platform.
Everything was working smooth, until one costumer had a NOKIA N95. The problem that I was finding, is when the unit was comunicating with the phone (sendig images), the call is lost after a short period of time (circa 1 minute), and then we had the sign that says "connection error"
My question is, have this phones a time limit for data calls, or the get saturated? I wish someone could tell me the answer, because the programmer of the software says that its the phone.... Nokia says its the programmer, and Im in the middle. If anyone give me the answer, i will invite that one to a nice meal here in Mallorca!!!

THANK YOU!

As far as I'm aware, the N95-1 doesn't have a limit on the amount of time that a data connection can be maintained. This has led in the past to customers receiving bills of hundreds and occasionally thousands of pounds by inadvertently leaving the connection open for long periods. Many programmers have taken to warning customers of this danger because of this fact.

The 5800, however, in addition to being able to select Packet Data Connection 'When available' or 'When needed', has an additional option on the same screen to set the Online time to 'User defined' or 'Unlimited'

From this addition to later models, I assume that it's to guard against incurring excessive charges, as may be likely on the N95.

Therefore it seems possible that the amount/connection period of data may be limited automatically by your customers service provider. Have you queried this?
