Hmm..
Anyone had their hands on the Jet?? They are advertising this as their fastest phone, although it only has an 800mhz processor, so therefore makes it look about right regarding the 600mhz one in the Omnia... Mike |

I've seen the bloody annoying adverts, yes. But I get the impression it's a 'dumbphone', so haven't bothered looking at it.

Cool, looks like it could be the omnia then, just need to make sure it supports line 2..
The video and camera on it looks awesome, and apparently it plays Bluray files straight to your tv, and any other formats are converted on the fly... Mike |

Samsung i8910 HD review from TechRadar UK's expert reviews of Mobile phones Mobile Choice magazine said the only reason not to buy it compared with the N97 was the form factor. I had a play with one at the Orange store this week and it's very large, so make sure you try one out first. I'm just waiting for the inevitable 3-month after release price drop :) |

Yep, Idon't mind if it's Ipod touch sized, having a big screen is worth it, as it's only 12mm thick, battery life looks impressive with a 1500mah one, that has been my biggest disappointment with the N96, even thogh I have shoehorned in a BL-6F (N95 8gb) bttery, it is still poor - I think the phone still only charges it to 950mah capacity, and not the 1200mah it can take.
Definately off to Orange shop this aftenoon, as ccan't see anywhere that it supports line 2, so I'll just pop my sim in one and see.. Interestingly on the line 2 issue, found out yesterday, that of Oranges' 6.7 million UK customers, I am one of only 132 that have a line 2 subscription... Makes me feel "Special" lol.... Mike |

I've an Ipod touch and the i8910 seems a LOT bigger, though it's not as thick as you may imagine (though still much thicker then the iPod).
Let us know what you think. |

The n97 is a great phone if you get a good one .
Orange messed me around for mths telling me they were definately getting n97s in but in the end was more bull**** by them i ended up bying a sim free one from CEX and i not got the scratched lense infact im very happy with mine it is a nice phone. You will not get one from orange i have it on reliable sources that its deffo not gettin stocked by them. Ive also been told that if you get one off of phones4u they will get it covered under the orange care as they do that much business with orange that might be worth looking into mate. You have a 2 year gaurantee with nokia anyways so if you get the scratchy lens just ask them to replace it with the n86 one also youve had youre n96 changed 6 times why not take a chance on the n97 as well you can always change it. |

If you get a good N97, it is a nice phone, but take a look at these comparisons:

Cracking review that Bubba - Not often you can read 12 pages of hands on with a phone.. If anything it's swaying me MORE towards it lol... Looking at the sizes, it's actually narrower than the Ipod touch, and only 13mm longer/4mm thicker - Would think it's about as long as my N96 when the slider is right down revealing the top buttons..

Gaz, I wouldn'yt get a 97 unless it was supplied by Orange, they will not, under any circumstances cover a generic handset that they have not supplied themselves - it's in the T&C's of Orange care, and even with a 2 year warranty, the convenience of Orange Care far outweighs anything else, If I rang them before 9am this morning, I would have a replacement handset, by courier between 6 and 10 this evening, no messing around going to Nokia service centres, or shops, and no sending phones off and waiting for responses etc - Well worth the £6 per month, esp as I get if free....
