Thumbs down eBay fakers, don't you just hate them?

Sorry if this appears a bit of a rant, but need to get this off my chest. A member here in Finland contacted me a little while ago asking me if I could fix their N95, and of course, i said, yes, no problem. However, I found due to my supplier being on holiday I had to order the replacement front fascia from elsewhere, so hunted down a replacement, which was clearly stated as Genuine, OEM, and made the purchase, only for it to arrive today, and being a fake item. Just by looking at it i can tell its fake, so have emailed the seller, pointing these obvious signs to them. Lets see if I get a response.

Test font wrong on front
No lcd bond peel away
Spacer cast near lcd ribbon 3mm too thick

No I will have an unhappy member here, for no reason or fault of my own. I wish to apologize in advance to this member, and have also emailed them explaining the situation, but being the perfectionist I am, i am fuming that an ebay powerseller is continuing to sell such fake parts at a premium price.

Rant over.!

Over the last couple of weeks I've had a terrible ebay experience as a direct result of their new rules which leave the seller completely open to abuse by unscrupulous buyers. After several conversations with customer support, lengthy emails and sending back and forth long transcripts of my communication with the buyer, going through the false and defamatory statement procedure (which involves sending off a pile of documents to Ireland) the best I got was a removal of the totally undeserved negative feedback comments, but not of the actual red feedback which spoiled a 10-year perfect record of trading on ebay.

The same buyer has conned and blackmailed so many sellers that half a dozen of them contacted me independently to make a concerted effort to get him kicked off ebay, let's see how that works out. And since you cannot leave negative feedback for a buyer he has a perfect record of almost 4000 positive feedbacks and continues to trade in the same way. If you leave negative comments on a positive feedback he can have it easily removed under ebay policy - how are sellers supposed to evaluate dishonest buyers ? Who are clever enough to perform all their selling activity under a different account, thus keeping a pristine buyer's record ?

Another rant over.

You will get your money back, but that's of scant use when you have done something for someone else.

Sadly there is loads out there, I'd advise finding one and sticking with them, even if they are a bit more expensive. Saves all the hassle getting a payback etc from paypal.

I had a dispute - although I was in the right, it took paypal about 2 months to refund me.
