Can I ask a huuuge favour?
Hi all,
Firstly I'm sorry to put this on you! XD... but I've just started Year 13 and my ICT teacher is already going on about coursework, and we have to make a database for a given user base (eg. a company or something) and this year, it has to be something that a 3rd party can test and evaluate and eventually use. So, what I decided to do was compile a list of programs and software (freeware and paid) for the N95, and organize it into a database. The intended user base would be you guys. I understand you may not actually have a use for my database, but I would be really really grateful if a few people could volunteer to evaluate it when it's done (basically, I'll send you the MS access database file, and you'll need to play around with it, and then write a paragraph or two on what could be improved, what works well, etc etc.) So if anyone is willing to do that, it would be amazing! It won't be for a few months yet I don't think but I need to see if people are willing to help before I get started. Also, if anyone could suggest any sites which currently offer N95 software/games downloads/purchases for me now, that would also be really appreciated. Thanks in advance and I hope some really nice person helps me... please ! (otherwise my ICT coursework is doomed...lol)- Javawag |

For my school work I need to know where the server is physically located. Does anyone here know where that may be?
Thanks, Javawag |

That server?
Do a reverse DNS or nameserver lookup using ARIN ;) |

I would also be willing to evaluate your project, let me know when you have everything finished.
And to reiterate what gadgetman said, check out Whois lookup and Domain name search for a detailed look at where the servers are located (based on domain name or IP). Hope this helps. |

Ok, just did a WHOIS lookup on the site and found the location of the server. I did actually do this before but it gave an address, but Google Maps wouldn't find it. I used the zipcode this time and it's fine
.Thanks a lot TheAlpha! It will probably be quite some time, it might not be finished until around March next year... but thanks a lot for your future help! XD Thanks all, - Javawag |
