It's a concept device. It's not even Nokia's concept. It's fan art. It's no where near an actual device that is going to be released, let alone "really soon" as the article states.

Nokia scrambled the next day after the iPhone was released and is coming out with the fruits of that labor "really soon"? Does anyone have any idea how long it takes Nokia to go from an idea in someone's head to an actual device? WAY longer than this article would suggest.

S70, 3rd edition? LOL!

Nokia N98 Concept Design by ~i-visual on deviantART if you want to visit the page of the guy who created the concept device.

I've been seeing this all over the net recently. Funny stuff...

For a more realistic idea of what the Nokia touch device might look like- have a read of the "turn and slide" concept. A concept actually patented by Nokia. It's much more realistic that this would be what we'll see- in a year or so. I doubt very much that we'll see the S60 touch device from Nokia anytime before the end of next year, possibly early 2009.

lol- no worries, mate. We'll be seeing a far better device than the concept you've posted- did you take a look at the "turn and slide" concept?

Sort of scares me when you see the quality of the mechanics present on just a slider from Nokia as this thing would be quite involved from an engineering standpoint, but if they can get cracking and nail it- it's gonna be a wicked device!

Not to mention the new patent Nokia have acquired for this dual touchscreen screen device - I wonder if/when we'll see this one emerge from Nokias depths ;P
