Hello All - New Poster UK - Which Network

Hello all,

Just to introduce myself I'm a student from London. I'd just like peoples' opinions on which network they would recommend for the N95 8GB. I would like to specify an internet access package. The three protagonists are Vodafone (only thing is monthly limit for internet is a quite frankly shocking 120mb), the others are O2 (monthly limit 200mb) and 3 (monthly limit 1gb but restricted?) respectively.

My first question is, is there a discernable difference in reception? Are some networks much worse?

Secondly, on 3 I have the suspicion that the internet access is not fully-fledged, I read something about Yahoo search?

I know these may seem like basic questions but any help would be most appreciated.

With kind regards

Amar

I would recommend T-Mobiles web&walk package. From experience, it worked very well for me. Check out theie website for details Mobile phones - Mobile phone deals from T-Mobile - Official Site

Hi McBlue,

One thing to note, if you wish to use VOIP over WiFi, most of the major networks in the UK have disabled this on the phone.

I think unbranding the phone will solve that problem for you - I'm sure some of the uber-knowledgable posters on here will verify if that is correct :)

dayene I'm about to hit the same problem with my second line on the account. If I'm going to sign another contract I want another phone but AT&T offers crap.

Also anyone know if AT&T has a limit on 'unlimited' data. Their site doesn't mention anything of the sort so I'm not sure if it's the same as you guys mentioned above

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Looks like 3 might be a good option? I don't know why I was under the impression it was restricted, it seems like a better value package, I thought it might be too good to be true. So is 3 likely to be okay?

T-mobile's service for internet access is a good one however I do not think they have the N95 8GB yet and I'm not sure when they're going to get it.

You probably read their terms and conditions.

It seems that at the moment they don't restrict it as much as their T&C's allow them to. I would be worried that situation could change overnight. Otherwise it does look like a good deal.
