where is the n96 gps chip?

the title says it all.....
is it at the bottom like the n95 or at the top?
anyone knows? can you provide a link to the answer?

AFAIK it wasnt the position of the chip itself that caused a problem, it seems N95 had dodgy antennas, and I dont think they were in the best place either.

One poster you see says they get a good quick lock even with the slider closed, and a few say they cant even get a lock after 30 mins stood in a field.

Theres an increasing number of people whom have fiddled with the antenna, and then the GPS seems as good as anyones.

Yes, it does, as do many of the new phones. However nokia have made them much less obvious, which is a plus in my book.

Though I wasn't told specifically where, I did learn that the GPS is at the top of the device. Admissions were made that the placement of the N95's GPS chip wasn't ideal- and this has been addressed. :)
