where is the n96 gps chip?
the title says it all.....
is it at the bottom like the n95 or at the top? anyone knows? can you provide a link to the answer? |

AFAIK it wasnt the position of the chip itself that caused a problem, it seems N95 had dodgy antennas, and I dont think they were in the best place either.
One poster you see says they get a good quick lock even with the slider closed, and a few say they cant even get a lock after 30 mins stood in a field. Theres an increasing number of people whom have fiddled with the antenna, and then the GPS seems as good as anyones. |

BTW, does the N96 have a secondary camera? cuz i cant spot one!

Yes, it does, as do many of the new phones. However nokia have made them much less obvious, which is a plus in my book.

Though I wasn't told specifically where, I did learn that the GPS is at the top of the device. Admissions were made that the placement of the N95's GPS chip wasn't ideal- and this has been addressed. :)
