Lumia 800 Call Answering Problem

Hi guys, i hope someone can help me with this problem i have with my recently bought lumia 800.
when i receive calls, you need to slide and screen and touch answer button in order to answer a call,
randomly everyday, the touch doesnt work... however how much you slide with your finger it wont.. but the phone keeps ringing and i cant slide up
Can someone pls explain why ??? and how to recover from this ?

Hi.. nope i dont have a screen protector ... but i have to also tell you this... during a receiving call, when i press the power button on the side the screen goes blank and when i press again the screen comes up and still the phone is ringing and now if i slide to answer it works!

I have no idea how to deal with this.

Hi all think I am well behind Dans in tryng to anwer a call with my new lumia 800. Have referred to online guide but cant find out How to Answer a call - can anyone give me a step by step description to enable me to answer a call ??? sorry for being such a thicko.

Hi there, welcome to the club of lumia 800.. anyways since you asked.. so when you receive a call, lumia you will hear the ringtone and display will show the caller and indicate SLIDE, all you need is to SLIDE the screen UP with your finger and then touch on ANSWER button.. thats that.. you have officially answered your first call in Lumia 800

I hope you wont have the same problem i am having now.. hehe :P

thanks Dans look forward to being able to answer my calls now instead of missing them, it's my first smartphone so maybe there is an excuse for my inability to carry out what should be the simplest of tasks!!!

Hi, I´m having the same problem. I don´t have screen protector and the power key helps only sometimes.. It´s already makes me much trouble at my work
