Does anyone have any idea when the N82...
...is due to be picked up in the UK?
I've been into my local Carphone Warehouse last week, and the goon in the store hadn't even heard of the N82!
I know some of you here have "inside info", so am wondering if anyone has heard anything about when the various networks will be releasing it?
I am hoping that it doesn't become another expensive Vodafone exclusive.

lol, goons.
The import sellers on ebay are already selling it. When it debuted last week, it was around $800. Now its down to around $650.
Hopefully it falls under $600 for when I buy it for myself at the end of January.

Sod paying £300-400, in the UK we don't pay for our phones straight up, it's swallowed up by the tariff.
I'll be looking to pay no more than £50 for the N82, on a £40 per month contract that has loads of free cross network minutes, texts and unlimited data.

Seriously the "N8#" designation on this phone is so awsome, it is single handedly going to make this phone uber cheep. The N95-1 was going for over a $1000 when it first came out, and by the looks of it, the N82's price is going to start with a 5 by the time it hits dell, amazon, buy.com, and the flagship stores.

Out of interest, if you guys have to fork out the full price for the phone, do you have really cheap tariffs?
Say, for example I got my N95 for free, and my 18 month contract with T-Mobile is £42 ($roughly $85 I think) per month. For that I get £180/$360 worth of calls and texts, which I never exceed, and unlimited data usage.
At the end of my 18 months that's £756/$1500 for the phone and tariff combined.
Is this cheaper or more expensive than you pay in the states?

Getting the phone on contract in the UK is still cheeper. Either way your going to still need cell service in the states, which is about $65 per month (basic minutes plus data), or $1170 for 18 months of service.
That said though, being a consumer in the states overall is far better than anywhere else in the world, just compare the prices on anything, say an unlocked N82, 450 Euros to at most 700 at the flagship stores. But then again minimum wage in the states is also a lot lower (like 6 bucks an hour or something)...meh, its hard to compare these things.

I have been told by O2 that they will have it in for the 10th December or the second week of December.

Yeah it is on "Coming Soon" section of the O2 website, I'm going to be ringing them next week and should hopefully have mine by the following week!
