You're right too, Munkimatt- that's definitely a 6, not an 8.
You hear the networks have already seen it- or whatever the N96 will be? That is interesting! It will also be interesting to see this thing in the flesh, hopefully it looks better.
Seems to be that there would be enough room for an optical zoom too.
Does that camera pivot, or is it gonna be side-shootin'? (remember side-talking?)

Dammn! I don't even use all 5 MP on mine. Pics are far too big for even 5X7 prints. Not sure I would take 8MB photos. Unless I wanted 4X6 FOOT prints LOL
Not sure what you mean....? You can print a 5mpix image or a 24 mpix image at 5x7 without issue. I print photos at 4x6 and 5x7 all the time. They'll show up bigger on your computer's monitor, but that's entirely different from printing them out, mate.
The pixels come in handy when you are making large prints (I've gone as high as 11x14 and they look great) and when you are cropping an image (this works FAR better than digital zoom, which shouldn't be used even under the thread of disfigurement and/or death IMO). The problem is that if you don't increase the size of the sensor, more megapixels will lessen the quality of your image- so hopefully we're going to see a larger sensor... that's the real concern.
