Default N96 pictures leaked...?

At least a device labeled the N96 has been leaked at Mobile-review.com. Stefan has the story at Intomobile.com and the images up on his flickr account.

Dual slider. N81 design. No lens slider. No xenon flash.

Hope this isn't really the N96...

This makes no sense. The n95 is a much slicker slider. If there going to clone the n95 again, put it in a flip phone.

I'd love to see the N90 come back. That's been my favorite form factor. The sketch prototype thing that came out recently with a rotating barrel might make me happy.

This N96 has to bring something new to the table to get the N9x designation.

The dual LED goes against that. I haven't tried the 5600 Slide, but I doubt its as good as the N82 xenon flash.

The lack of a lens protector is a large concern. I would really like a lens protector that activates once you press the camera button (or click the camera app in software)

The screen looks like QVGA again. If its VGA, meh. I'd rather have the 3" 800x480 screens that are so prevalent on Japanese phones.

Based on those observations, it should be N8x or N7x. You've got to wonder what kind of hardware is inside to deserve the N9x designation. I dont think having Feature Pack 2 is enough.

The 2nd take one looks just like a girls LG phone that one of my girlfriends owns.

Yeah- that thing was brutal. I prefer the first device.

Is this supposed to be a "could be worse" kinda thing?

Lol, could well be.
This could be a mock up of an n81, but it does make sense since the n81 and n82 are the latest models out, therefore Nokia will probs base their upcoming models (nseries) on their style.
Lol and there's me thinking the N96 will look like the one on my avatar!, lol.

The rather odd looking device that Romeo is sporting in his avatar is the (Supposed) N97. Alot of rumours have been passed around regarding the device, but it is most definitely just a concept device
