93tid: Sorry if I appeared a little off, this is really bugging me.

I'm just trying to figure if this is by design or a fault. If it's a fault I want to send it back for a replacement while I still have time.

Thanks,
Jen

Right, just did a little experiment.

When the keys are locked the keypad flashes when someone calls, and there is no option to unlock the keys as they unlock automatically.

When keypad unlocked the keypad doesn't flash.

Try it and see what happens your end.

Thanks for the trying the experiment Mr G. Either way results in my keypad not flashing when I receive a txt or call - with keylock or keylock disabled. My keypad doesn't automatically unlock.

Thanks,
Jen

I have cClock as screensaver and keylock on. The keys do not light up neither when I receive a call nor when I get a text. When I get a call I can only answer, silence it or hang up, the rest of the keys are still locked.

Thanks 93tid, I'm still absolutely sure my keys used to light up as when I tried a hard reset the keypad lit up for one call after reboot then subsequently returned to a state of non-lit so I suspect it's a fault.

Thanks,
Jen

Just to add my tuppence worth incase it helps my n82 keypad also doesnt light up when recieving call or text whether its locked or unlocked. My advice if its not too late is try to live with it miss_fugg,it sounds like you got a good handset without gaps etc.I'm sure the keypad thing wont be noticeable after a short while.

I will be getting my new black N82 next week, so will let you know what mine does out of the box concerning the key pad lights, and an incoming call.
