N95-3 or E71 ...tough decisions
Well I have had a N95-3 for a few months now and love it. The only problem I have is I text and send emails a lot with my device on the go and its a pain in the butt texting without a qwerty keyboard. I am really contemplating on seeing if I can sell my N95 and get an E71 instead. Do you think it is worth it or not? Just looking for some input, thanks.

Main question here is how much do you use the camera?
And how much do you like the keyboard on the E71? For what its worth, I have never seen an unhappy E71 user. |

i do use my camera but i would say that the keyboard is more important. I have seen E71 pics and they seem nice. It has what a 3.2mp auto focus, right?

i love my e71 except for the camera. everything else pretty much works the same as a n95 and the keyboard/screen are lovely for email/sms/web browsing
If the 5Mp camera is important to you then you're probably best off sticking with the n95. The E71 camera is fine for quick snaps but not decent photographs and definately not in low light. |

if you're getting the e71 buy yourself another camera... if that makes sense. :D i absolutely love the e71 but never used the camera. and coming from n95... forget about it.

Yes the E71 are one real nice device , so nice so my girl steal it from me ...:)
It take some time to get use to the keypad but when u have done it, it's hard to put away the sexy thin E71 . I'm with my N95 8GB wich I still love , but will upgrade soon . I are a big camerauser so I belive I go for the N85 insteed .

I know....I just was curious if other people have had this dilemma since the E71 came out and what their thoughts were.

i had the same dilemma a week or so ago and due to my contract I went for the E71. I do miss the camera of the N95, the E71 one is not in the same league, but I spend alot of time mobile browsing (am typing this on it right now!) and the keyboard with landscape screen is just heaven. The web browser seems more polished than the n95 one too. It does not suffer so badly from the text box problem and also seems to render more quickly. Along with that there is auto completion in search boxes which i dont remember getting on the n95.
When I got this I thought I would keep the n95 and maybe switch back to it, but i quickly got used to this and the n95 has now gone ! I think you need to decide what features are most important to you camera vs keyboard and screen. Last edited by maltloaf; 11-24-2008 at 08:00 PM. |
