I'm just not sold on the N82 yet. I think the xenon is absolutely brilliant- and I'm THRILLED to see some proper lens protection- but I really like my sliders for the fact that they just generally allow for much larger screen size.

That and the keys... I had nearly made my peace with them until I saw the 6124. Why - in - the - hell - don't the N82 and N78 have this keypad?

N82 and N95 both are fitted with 240 x 320 display.
So does 6120C, but in fact 6120C has smaller display size than N95. So the characters shown are also smaller in 6120C.
Now how is the N82 display size, 6120c size or N95 size?

Hi.I'm new to this site and i look forward to using it to get help and tips from you guys.I use an N95-1 and my partner has the N82. I get to use both phones and i love them both.To tell the truth i don't notice screen size difference all that much or have a problem using the N82 keypad like some reviews mention.Go back to using a phone like my previous K800i and the two Nokia's are miles ahead in all aspects.I guess it comes down to personal preference in the end.

I've had my N82 for about 3 months now. I upgraded from a SE T150i (which had the best keypad in the world). the only reason for the 'upgrade' was that the SE did not have a xenon flash.
I have to say I have 2 serious issues with the N82.
The keypad (and the bright shiny surrounding) is an absolute DISASTER. It is IMPOSSIBLE to see the digits in daylight. There are just too many reflections and the numbers are tiny! To anyone considering the N82...buy the black version.
Incidentally does anyone know if I can swap my casing from silver to black to get around this problem?
the second issue is that it doesn't support Chinese characters or language. I work in China (although I'm English) and at least if I was sent a Chinese sms with the S.E. I could translate it. All I get now is a series of boxes.
Are there and upgrades for Chinese that I can dowmload. I've searched but can't find any.

Possible. You can get the parts from cnn.cn. Its hard to do though.

You can try adding the application y-browser. It seems to add foreign characters support.
