Angry GPRS (mobile modem N79) related question

hello
i'm using my 7 month old nokia N79 phone for connecting through net via Lappy through GPRS (mobile modem). it is connected 24x7 from last 20-25 days through data cable ( bcoz i use to heavy download). also the mobile battery charger is connected continiously with mobile to provide power supply......

i want to know that is this harm my mobile or the life of the battery.......????if yes, then suggest me how i manage my connection. i'm worried about my battery life....... plz suggest me buddy

This is obviously not the kind of use that either the battery or the battery-charger is designed for, if either run too hot, it will certainly shorten their life.

If the battery itself overheats then it can either expand very rapidly (i.e. explode) or may catch fire, being lithium-based. There are safeguards in-built to prevent this and assuming that it's a genuine Nokia battery, these safety-circuits are very reliable... under normal circumstances.

Technically, under the operating conditions described, you're running both the charger and the battery outside their normal operating parameters and therefore taking a risk, both to your devices and if anything untoward happens whilst the set-up is unsupervised, to your own personal safety.
