Default which N95?

hey i cannot decide which n95 2 buy.. im deciding between getting an original n95 from vodafone for $899 NZD or a n95 8gb from plemix.com for around about the same price. What are your thoughts? which do you think i should get? is it safe buying from plemix??

There's 2 trains of thought here.
1. The 8gb has more RAM (functions faster)
2. They already have 8gb memory cards and they keep getting bigger.
N95 8gb=no expandable memory/more RAM
N95 classic=expandable memory/less RAM
OR there's the N95-3- More RAM/Expandable memory BUT firmware updates are scarce and apparently crap.

N95 8GB has a lot of software problems IMO, expecially since you cant install more than 21 themes, nor remove the memory card when things go wrong.

I would personally reccomend you go with the origianl N95 cuz with the firmware updates it's not problem with RAM anymore. Plus you get expandable memory (16GB coming up soon), camera lens shutter, and unprecedented and unlimited capabilities, what more could you want?

The other thing to remember is that buying the phone from Vodafone will have their firmware on it... I've only ever had a problem with my memory card in my N95 once, and that was because I spilt beer on it at the pub...

If I could have my time again (and if I'd known the 8GB was just around the corner) I probably would've held out a little longer (although I wouldn't've been able to get it on a reasonable plan even now...)

I'd say have a play with both if you can...

edit: Not too mention the bigger screen..

N82 is nice- if you like a candybar/monoblock form factor. I personally prefer a slider, as they generally allow for a much larger screen. The screen on the N82 is quite noticeably smaller than the N95, and much smaller than the 8GB model. Though- this monoblock design does allow for proper lens protection, and a xenon flash... those two items can be a big deciding factor for you. Of course- the classic N95-1 does have the manually operated lens cover like the N82. I'm still disappointed that the later versions of the N95 take no reasonable measure to protect the camera's optics.

i have my n95-1 updated to its latest firmware but it still gives me ram problem. if you're a heavy user, get the n95-2..never freezes... i'm on IM+ 27/7, browse the web, check my emails all at the same time and even ngage is on. plus the battery lasts longer.
