Copy data from broken set

Hello,
my wife have broken her mobile and now it doesn't boot at all

I managed to copy the data of the memory card, but lots of data is stored on the phone itself, is it possible to copy data via cable while the mobile is off that doesn't boot at all?

It doesnt look good. As far as i know, the PC will not register that the phone is connected unless the phone is turned on.
