Default Help!

Hello to everyone.
I have a problem with my telephone "N95". Each time I turn it back on it asks me for time and date all over again. What must I do for the telephone to automatically figure out date/time on its own?

Try loading Nokia Software update and reload the firmware.

Also, check that your sim card is snuggly in place.
If it gets rattled around it may come loose and then fall back into position.
And usually if you take your sim card out and put it back the phone forgets the date and time.

I beg to disagree, but no it isn't supposed to do that. I'm using 2 sim cards and I interchange them regularly. Never did my N95 reset it's time.

AFAIK the only time it asks for the date & time, as well as the location & language settings is when the phone memory is formatted.

@ Vlad:
I thinks there's a problem with the firmware try reinstalling/flashing it again.

OK, i cant say i've had the problem with my N95 because i dont ever recall taking the sim card out. BUT with my 6230i it happens every time that i take the sim out to put in my imate and then back into the 6230i.

PS. what is AFAIK?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the 6230i. It may or may not be a problem. But I'm sure about my N95.

AFAIK = As Far As I Know ;P

well its got nothing to do with sim, when you remove battery you remove main power source. So to keep time and date correct, there is usually a small backup battery or capacitor to keep charge while you remove battery to enter sim or remove sim. If your battery is out to long the cap runs out and if your backup battery is faulty or dry jointed you will get similar hassle. Might be software but unlikely. Question is have you dropped your phone recently?
