Nokia Maps on the 5800

Using my free trial licence, and already Im really confused.

When I used Maps on my E66, Im sure there was an option to save either the location that was in the cursor, or your current GPS position into favourites.

But on the 5800, I cant find either?

Am I going mad? Are they there and I cant find them, or were they never there in Maps anyway?

I actually couldn't find the save current position on my N85 either which is also running Nokia Maps 2:0 so I think it is missing since version 1:0

Not tried it myself yet but I have noticed if you go to Applications > Locations you can save your current position.

Bart I think to save the current cursor location, just touch the three bars button on the top right of the screen and click 'Add To My Places.'

Nother question...is the Maps 3 beta compatible with the 5800? I cannot actually see what phones it's compatible with on the page: Nokia Maps 3.0 with Maps on Ovi | Nokia Beta Labs

Would be nice, but AFAIK it doesn't.

I think I remember reading that Maps 3 BETA is not compatible with anything above S60v3 FP1 and hence not compatible with any S60v5 devices.

No, it was compatible with FP2 devices but not the N96 for some reason.

Or the other way around, the N96 being the only FP2 device.

Ah well, I'll leave it for now.
