See CPW will let you check the new one before accepting it. See if its the same.

Have the Google fairies delivered us the service manual yet!? *nudge nudge wink wink* :)

Would be nice to see how the casing clips together.

I can definitely get a nail between and prize apart. Not good.

i will ask if i can check a few if they all seem simmilar then i might leave it to be honest it would annoy me a bit , but iam just fussy like that

i wouldnt mind so much if i could just clip it back on but it dosent seem to have a clip from what i can see

First image, the left side, tight fit. Next two images, loose right hand side.

Will definitely irritate me now I know its there. It can't be right. Gotta be a design flaw. Now we just need to determine whether it affects all, or some of them. If some, then mine's going back to the store. If its all of them, guess its wait till Nokia address it with a fix.

Mine seems close together, and on putting my nail into it, it just opened up. So while mine looks nothing near as bad as yours in the pic, it could very easily get like that over time.

I have ranted long and hard about Nokias quality control, and it looks like its not over yet.

This is why I didnt want to change it for a CPW model to save 40 odd quid, Im very pleased with the one I have!

That's just it, maybe we've been 'handling' ours a bit more then you and its opened up through that usage. I know I've barely put mine down since I got it. I'm almost 100% certain it wasn't like that when I picked it up from the store.

Oh I very much doubt that! Not only have I got new touch screen phone syndrome, but Im actually using it for work also, since the screen size means its realistic to use for emails (and Mail for exchange works on it).

Plus I have been using GPS almost constantly, and showing people at work/home.

LOL fair enough then :)

Definitely needs addressing. Hope Nokia sort it, don't really want to have to return this phone :D

Well, as its the case, they cannot sort it, at least not the ones already out.

Horrible though it is, it's not something they are going to issue new cases for free of charge. It's a PITA, but it's technically not affecting functions of the phone.

I have seen worse things not be addressed, so I cannot think it will be in this case.

I think the best option is going to be superglue. Perhaps the only option.

Edit: Bah. now I put my nail in it, its bigger than before and letting a lot of light through. Im certainly thinking about glueing it!

Think I'll wait on Gaz and Tom's input, and Buz returning with another handset before I take drastic actions like glueing!
