5800 battery life is poor...

Think it was a well known and accepted fact that the N95 had a shocking battery life. I used to charge it over night and it would normally last a day of playing Music, a few calls and a bit of Fring-ing here and there. When I say a Day, I would pop it back on charge when I got home from work. So I mean about 8 hours or so.

But I'm finding the 5800 is worse...

I'm not getting 6 hours out of it. I do have it dragging my eMail down at 2 hour intervals, but aside from that, it's on standby.

Would appreciate any comments from 5800 owners on their battery experiences.

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

One day is not a problem for me regardless of what I throw at it. If I have the GPS on while listening to music over bluetooth for 6-8 hours it would probably die, but which one wouldn't.

I listen to music and use SportsTracker two to three times a day while walking my dog. Our walks normally last for about 45-60mins. So, a good 2.5 to 3 hours of music, satellite, and lite Internet as SportsTracker does its thing. I also use my cell as my only phone, and work from home. I usually get at least five or six calls a day, and a few times a week I'm on an hour+ phone meeting with it. I'm still only charging every two to two and a half days! I think there is definitely something wrong with your battery.

I can get away with two days usage without charging it. Your battery sounds knackered mate.

I also have my emails being pulled at about 2 hour intervals.

However I get at least a days use even with listening to music for over 2 hours (I walk to work and back). And usually fiddling with GPS inbetween.

Before you get a new battery, might be worth doing a hard reset, as it could be a rouge app.
