5800 v.31.0.015 Firmware Soon! <Maybe not all THAT soon tho!>
Gleaned from AllAboutSymbian dated 24th June.
Post from 'Unregistered': It looks like a v31 firmware update is imminent. Check out YouTube - Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 introduction 57 seconds in. reply: slitchfield Yes, v31 firmware was the stable release inside Nokia a couple of weeks ago. I suspect it'll appear in public this week. from the video: Great new features! Updated applications! Performance improvements!

I've read on other forums that the code in the video is N95 8GB FW update number and that in the video they were updating from version 15.0.015, we never had that version number on our 5800's did we?
But i still hope we get a new and much improved update.

It seems to be the same-numbered update as the N95 8gb... But I'm going on Steve Litchfeld's comment, that new firmware is due out shortly for the 5800.

Had heard about this release the other day on another forum, and what I find interesting is the that Vodafone Ireland have only released the previous version,v21, in the last few days! Just show's how far these networks fall behind with they're updates!

I also read on a couple of other sites that this was not actually a 5800 update.
Time will tell. TBH I am only really interested in kinetic scrolling, like many others, as that scrolll bar is infuriating to use. I tend to use the stylus for it as my thumbs are too fat LOL

Kinetic scrolling? Is that scrolling by movement? Kinetic means moving doesn't it? Sounds like a pain to me, I would rather keep the device static and use the scroll bar.
