Saving gps position when not near a street
It took me a little bit to work out how to save a gps position on Nokia Maps.
Just click the street name bar that appears on the top of the screen when the center dot in on or near a street. However, I just moved into a big complex, and my apartment is not near a street, so that street bar doesn't appear. I have even tried to edit a placemark near a street that is sort of close, to change the co-ords, but no luck. So how can I save a location like that? c |

Is there an option to enter co-ordinates (taken from the satellite info screen) rather than clicking on screen locations?

Is Nokia Maps 2, or the 3 beta?
If it's 2, you can click on the 3 bars at the top right of the screen. And choose 'save to my places'. |

you can switch on your GPS data, wait for it to get a GPS lock, and save that location.
Im not sure about the later versions of Nokia Maps, but in the first version of Nokia Maps on N95, the location you save in GPS data will appear in Nokia Maps, and vice versa. no harm trying. |
