Oh well thats not an app, that's basically a url redirector. I was talking about an app like the facebook app that was just released. Thanks though.

1.Is the 5800 web browsing experience up there with the iphones?

Nope - but its very good - but as an overall browsing experience its not as slick
but its still pretty **** close. (plus has flash)

2. Its not a capitive touchscreen like the iphone, is texting even harder?

oddly capacitive vs resistive makes little difference in prodding actions
its more a pain in sweeps, scrolls etc.

3.Will i be needing to use my stylus alot?

i rarely used the stylus - but used the plectrum a fair bit - scrolling - ie in maps etc is so much more positive with a stylus/plectrum. also i like the miniqwerty so i dont have to wait for the screen rotation transitions.

4.What all can you put on the homescreen?

theres two options - one has contacts the other has notifications - sadly both cant be combined and it leaves you wishing for a bit of both.

5.Is the touchscreen similiar to touchscreens on like the Tmobile wing (Basically meaning cheap, and with no cover over the touchscreen). Is it basically protected like the n95 8gb?

its good and moderatly hard to damage.

6. The 5800 looks very cheap, does it feel that way?
matter of opinion - i like the styling.

7.Are most s60v3 apps on the 5800 also? Is there a myspace app?
alot are yes

8.My n95 8gb starts going slow after more then 5 apps are going, is this the same with the 5800?

well thats the same with every s60 phone.

I have also come from the N95 8GB, which I abandoned as soon as the 5800 was released. I have to say the 5800 beats the N95 8GB hands down, and it's certainly the best phone I've ever had (and it's not exactly expensive either). To answer your questions...

1.Is the 5800 web browsing experience up there with the iphones?

I have very little issues with the web browser (except for kinetic scrolling, which seems like it's going to be in a future firmware update). The iPhone is faster, but the 5800 displays some Flash which the iPhone just can't handle.

2. Its not a capitive touchscreen like the iphone, is texting even harder?

It's resistive, which means you need to sort of 'press'. But honestly, my friend has an iPhone and he says he always 'touches' other stuff on accident, and resistive screens are much more accurate. I find texting a breeze, perhaps not as fast as on the N95 8GB but still fast enough.

3.Will i be needing to use my stylus alot?

I rarely use it, infact I've lost the 2 stylus's it came with - but I don't miss them at all.

4.What all can you put on the homescreen?

Not much sadly. The contacts bar is a great home screen, but it's severely lacking in other functionality. Again this is going to be fixed in a firmware upgrade.

5.Is the touchscreen similiar to touchscreens on like the Tmobile wing (Basically meaning cheap, and with no cover over the touchscreen). Is it basically protected like the n95 8gb?

It's been in the pocket with my keys every day since I've bought it (with no screen protector) and there's yet a single scratch. I've dropped it a couple of times, which made some slight cosmetic damage to the outer case but the screen is perfect.

6. The 5800 looks very cheap, does it feel that way?

If you're expecting top notch build quality then you have the wrong phone. I have no quibbles with it, but some comment that it's plasticy and 'creaky'.

7.Are most s60v3 apps on the 5800 also? Is there a myspace app?

s60v3 apps 'work' to an extent on the 5800 anyway. Not too sure about the Myspace app.

8.My n95 8gb starts going slow after more then 5 apps are going, is this the same with the 5800?

Probably, if you have 5 resource hungry apps open.
