Nokia 5800 Faults

I've got 3 problems with my Nokia 5800 and I'm interested to find out if its a design fault with the phone, or mine is faulty.

Firstly when I put the pen back after using it beside the battery, sometimes the phone powers itself off. I imagine this is because by putting the pen back in, the battery loses its sitting and its connection with the phone, hence turning itself off.

Secondly, the phone sometimes for no particular reason just turns itself off. Because the screen is blank all the time and I don't like the misleading breathing light which always makes me think I have a message, I don't realise and it can be off for a couple of hours which is very frustrating.

Thirdly, I have as I'm sure everyone else has done, edited the default profiles. I've changed a couple of their names and changed some settings. At work I have it set so that I have an alarm clock ring tone
go off very quietly so it doesn't interrupt phone calls I'm having on the land line. Sometimes (very rarely indeed) I don't get that ring tone at all, but I get some other random ring tone that the phone has stored in it. When I check my profile settings, they are as per what I originally set. So very odd indeed.

Well, for the first and second problems you have a loose battery. There is a thread in this section about it, worth searching for it.

Not sure about the third issue, I haven't encountered that.

However, did you know you can turn the breathing light off? I find this much easier, since I know when I have missed calls/messages etc rather than mistaking it for the breathing light (even though it goes slower).

Edit: I found it Random Turn Off (Loose Battery)

Lokos like a trip to the local NSC, or perhaps a DIY fix.

Thanks for that Bart :) I already have the breathing light turned off. I can't imagine why anyone would want it turned on?! It's very misleading. I'm on hold to Nokia now to get it booked into an NSC! Just hope there is one close by. I expect not! Nokia's hold music is terrible!

The third problem I can live with, as fortunately it seems to remember the call volume so it doesn't cause any embarrassment.
