I have always had a bit of bother converting video from one format to another. Just recently got hold of a DVD rip saved in .mkv format. A very quick search turned up a FREE package that converts anything to everything. This is a new one, tried most of all the others but it impresses me. Told it to convert file to Nokia 8/800 (nothing recognises 808) and it decided to convert to h264 with HD and Dolby. Not sure how this is going to work, its taking forever but I have a slow laptop. When done and on me phone working, will let you know and give you the sw details if'n you're interested.

Above the link to the software. Well I have checked out the conversion and loaded to my 808 - result - excellent! Too easy by far, I have no ties any which way to this item but do feel strongly inclined to recommend you look at it. It's really simple to use and I think I will keep hold of it for a while.

Oh BTW forgot, you do not need the 'Chrome' that is recommended - I use Firefox.

Additional - Just watched a vid on me 808 .........excellent. The conversion worked really well and the 808 did not fail expectation. The N8 was good but this is a notch higher and the sound is exceptional.

Well that does it for my review of vid on 808. There is an issue with night photography which I'll post in another thread.
